The Appomattox County Historical Society currently sponsors three annual events which help in supporting the Historical Society and its mission in preserving the history of Appomattox County.

Appomattox Oyster & Seafood Festival

The Annual Appomattox Oyster & Seafood Festival is presented by the Appomattox County Historical Society and is hosted at the Clover Hill Village. The Appomattox Oyster & Seafood Festival is a family event and has activities for kids to keep them busy! Attendees are entertained by live music throughout the day performed by local artists. The proceeds from this annual event helps to repair, maintain and improve the Clover Hill Village.

Clover Hill Village Wine Festival

The Annual Clover Hill Village Wine Festival is presented by the Appomattox County Historical Society and is hosted at the Clover Hill Village. The festival features vendors from local wineries, breweries, and distilleries as well as various other vendors providing food and merchandise including everything from baskets, jams and jellies, wood crafting, fragrances, clothing and accessories, exotic oils and so much more.

Good Ole Days at the Railroad Festival

Every year during the Appomattox Railroad Festival, the Appomattox County Historical Society hosts the Good Ole Days exhibit in Courthouse Square next to the old Appomattox Courthouse. This exhibit allows you the opportunity to relive the good ole days with old-time homemade foods and demonstrations of hand-crafted items. Individual exhibits showcasing items from our county’s past and demonstrations of life in early days of our county are also presented.
