Good Ole Days at the Appomattox Railroad Festival

Every year during the Appomattox Railroad Festival, the Appomattox County Historical Society hosts the Good Ole Days exhibit in Courthouse Square next to the old Appomattox Courthouse. This exhibit allows you the opportunity to relive the good ole days with old-time homemade foods and demonstrations of hand-crafted items. Individual exhibits showcasing items from our county’s past and demonstrations of life in early days of our county are also presented.

When you have finished taking a step back in time at the Good Ole Days exhibit, head on over to the Appomattox Railroad Festival where you can experience two days of non-stop fun and excitement for the entire family! Festivities include the annual parade, featuring over one hundred entries including local celebrities, floats, marching bands, tractors and more! The classic car show at the Court Street parking lot features non-stop oldies music with a cruise-in style show. The Street Dance on Saturday night provides live music and hours of fun! And of course, amusements and rides the whole family can enjoy!
